Many expecting something new from Apple this year were a disappointed when Apple launched its iPhone 4S on 4th October 2011. It shared many of the same physical features as the iPhone 4; the dimensions were exactly the same as was the 3.5 inch, 960 x 640 Retina Display screen. However appearances are often very deceptive, internally the new iPhone 4S is packed with many exciting surprises.

The new iPhone 4S comes with a complete new iOS5 operating system which has already created an imprint for having the world’s most advanced and most technological operating system for mobile phones. In the new iPhone 4S lies the New Dual-core A5 chip; the processor it uses is the same processor used in the powerful iPad2. This processor is ultra-fast as apps and videos load in just seconds. The graphic speed is seven times faster ensuring colorful life like graphics which makes gaming a whole lot more pleasurable.

The 8 mega pixel camera is nothing to shake a stick at either; besides adding a bunch more pixels, Apple also added an extra lens and improved its optics with an amazing f/2.4 aperture which captures more light, like quality digital SLR cameras. Another great thing about the iPhone camera is it can record 1080p Full HD Videos. Now there’s no need to carry around those bulky digital cameras and camcorders when an iPhone has everything you need!

The iPhone 4S is also equipped with a voice recognition software called Siri Intelligent Assistant; Siri is quite advanced and is just a little different from other voice assistants found on other phones. Siri can set reminders, automatically sends messages, make calls and searches for information upon request. It’s like having your very own personal assistant. Siri is also unique as it supports three international languages French, German and English.

The iPhone 4S supports both GSM and CDMA platforms and in so doing earned the title “World Phone”. The battery life is also very impressive as it can support up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G and an impressive 14 hours on 2G networks. When it comes to Wi-Fi the iPhone can last a whopping 9 hours and a total of 6 hours while browsing. Now why would you want any other phone!.
